Melody Miles Race
Saturday, May 29, 2010 Melody Miles 2009 9 race winners each received a $100 Asics gift certificate. 5K Female: Crystal Anthony won the 5K with a time of 18:18 setting a course record for women running the Melody Miles 5K.5K Male: Ian Lambe won the 5K for men with a time of 18:20.5 Mile Female: Margaret Banke won the 5 Mile women's race with a time of 32:43.5 Mile Male: Ryan Kerrigan won the 5 Mile men's race with a time of 27:57. Daniel Dodson of Methuen, MA won the Gina Bowler walker award given each year in memory of Gina Bowler's incredible life and support of the Arts in Hamilton-Wenham and her participation in Melody Miles each year by walking and putting balloons along the course.Complete race results at: www.coolrunning.com/results/09/ma/May23_14thAn_set1.shtml Kathy Bradford awards a prize of $50 to anyone who breaks the 5 mile course record each year.
LOCATION
Melody Miles Race begins at
Winthrop Elementary School, Route 1A, Hamilton and ends at Patton Park
just across the street. Walk-in racers are welcome to register from 9 to
9:50 a.m. Races Begin at 10 and fun run at 10:45
The scenic and very harmonious Melody Miles features the beautiful terrain of Hamilton and Wenham, and the voices and instruments of various Hamilton-Wenham student music ensembles.
The Melody Miles Fun Run,
organized by Pro Musica, supports instrumental and choral music for
youth in Hamilton and Wenham.
